You have to check out these highlights of the Junior Racing League from Wed. night.
Who says you can't try to win it on the first lap.
Or lose it on the last.
Stars in the making!!! How I wish this was possible when I was young(er)

This was my first time out on a Wed nite to see these guys. And wow, it was pretty exciting. Before this, I never understood that these things ware as hard to control as they are...these things hop around the corners so bad they almost leave the ground. And high contact!
Anyway, great racing. No Shadow report this time, but I did get some pics I'll put up later when I have a chance to size them and everything. The photos are mainly taken from the backstretch wall behind the head starter, up against the billboards.
In other notes, I don't know what the heck kind of weeds are growing back there, but when I got home, my wife's cats literally attacked my shoes. And they were still going at them by the time I went to bed, and again when I was putting them on this morning. They've never done that before, but obviously they liked the smell of something.
I'd better look into it! 😉
I have posted some photos of the action at: http://s75.photobucket.com/albums/i313/SS3-8/20070606%20JRL_Race_01/
i would like to congratulate Patrick Freel and Brady Smith on their Feature wins, also thank you to all the staff who came out to get it going. the racing was good, and the video was very well done.
A few pics!
7-Johnny Charno, and 42-Riley Eyre in jr div. heat race action.
Couple shots of 50-Kris Lawrence reeling in 19-Matthew VanGrinsven.
On the backstretch. (is it the backstretch or the frontstretch? Assuming the flagman is on the fronstretch, then its the backstretch. ::) )
and coming to the flag.
Jr feature time. Here they come...
....and there they go.
Couple of groovy rides after the show.
8-Marc Jacobs
and 3-Jason Jacobs
And something on the 3 caught my eye, warranting closer inspection. This was in the back window. (its always good to thank your sponsors!)
Next time I'm out on a Wednesday, we'll give the Jrs the full "Shadow Report" treatment.
Shadow out.
