Apparently the track has a big construction project planned, i think we'll show up the first practice day and it will be the same from my perspective in the stands and the perspective of the drivers
Maybe when you show up it will be covered in 18 inches of clay and the walls will be gone. Just sayin it could be a descent dirt track with the nicest pit road.

i noticed in that link it was a picture of the progress, did the track post anything that they were thinking of a new consession?? how is this any different from delaware what if the track posted pictures of the track under construction?? If you have any questions about call the track and pass along what you hear.
As racers we have a great track to race at and instead of bashing it and saying they should do this that and the other we should be promoting it and getting more fans and cars out there so they can easily afford to make these improvements.
If we dont do our part to get some money into the track by bringing out our friends and family and getting more racers to come compete why should they dump money into it for us?
I love racing at delaware and try to get all my friend out so they can enjoy it as much as i do.
Well if your satisfied with not knowing anything about the track that's your choice. I am not going to be calling anyone at the track as it's obvious they aren't interested in letting people know what's going on at the track, that is if there is anything going on. So are you going to have a car with no decals on it except for the car's number and your phone number and wait for people to call you to see who your sponsors are?
I have talked with the track owners and in my opinion what they plan to do to the track is great and they will release information when they do. I am not trying to start an argument this is the internet and there are a lot of rumors floating around. I wouldn't assume the track is obviously doing one thing or the other, call them give them your input and maybe get some positive feedback.
Talking about the rumors of the track on the internet isn't going to help you learn what the track is doing i feel a call would be beneficial. if they gave you any information at least you know its a reliable source.
All I'm saying is as a group of racers we should appreciate what the new owners are doing because without them there would be a lot of cars and parts for sale or sitting in garages.
If they don't do anything to the track its still a great track and I'm looking forward to going every Friday and racing and being at the track, it beats sitting on the couch any day.
Well I'm going on record as saying track changes are not just rumor, and I think it'll will be cool. Cool enough that, come practice days, Delaware will permanently be just a little different than the Delaware we've known for the last 25 years.
So what if they're not tipping their hand on renovations yet? Some are trying to make management sound like its being disrespectful to the racers just because they haven't issued a press release yet. That just doesn't make sense.
Of course they're not going to go on record before the shovel is in the ground....too much can change too quickly, and too many promises have been made in the past....and its just better to stay silent on the matter till its a done deal.
Fact is, teams have all the information they need to move forward on the 2012 season. You know there will be racing, you have a schedule, you have rules, you have the fee structure and you have the payout info. And the track will be what it is on practice day and forward.
What the hell else would ya need?
