What are you building? I can help out if you want some suggestions

he has two 82 camaroes, both in good shape and do not require too much work after the cage is installed.

What do you recomend for the engine package?

That would depend on what you want to spend, you can do lots if you plan to spend wisely

Well seeing that he has very little seat time the enduro is the best class as it is really the only entry level racing. He will want to keep the cost in line with the division and to spend any more he might as well go up to super stock?

I think and it is only me to spend anymore that 5K is not wise, but then our family thinks anything more than $1.00 is crazy...

Any suggestions and or ideas would be appreciated..

6 cyl, and 4's have no weight limits. V8's are min. 3200 ( pretty sure on that 32'). Your idea for a GTP is not bad, but i think you would be better with a Grand Am 3.4 V6.

Engines aren't cheap if you wanna go fast in your Camaro. If you want basic runs, grab a 350 from a truck, and have fun. You won't be a top runner, but it gets you going. Lots of trucks on Kijiji for 300-500 bucks.
