Hey I just want to put this out there and see what everyone has to say about the intake rule for the enduro class.  It is very well known that the crate motors are the way to go in this class now but not everyone can afford a crate motor so there are guys that would like to run the marine intake on there built motors. Are they any faster then the rest no, Is it helping them keep up Yes. Is it cheaper Yes. So just asking to see if or what everyone else has to say about this and if it was right that the 32 and 32x were parked last race for this.???  Should the rules be changed?????

First, let me say that I consider the 32 guys to be good guys and I enjoy racing with them. But they knew Marine Intakes were a no-no, so I have no sympathy for them being parked.

I feel as though Marine Intakes should NOT be allowed to be installed. They could be used as another example of guys modifying their cars, and getting further away from what made enduro great. Yes I ran and crate this year and it was F-ing Fantastic, but it was only a one year deal for me, which has now ended.

There are other ways to find speed, but changing a rule to allow a part that has been frowned upon for a long long time is not the way to go. I thought arguing about it for nearly an hour in the winter rules meeting was enough!

Stuff like this is how Enduro becomes SS, SS becomes LM and LM becomes SLM etc, etc. If you want to put money onto an engine then also put money into your car and run SS. JMO.

I think you have to look at the Enduro rules period. They have gotten so far off track of what it was supposed to be.
When the Enduros were started it was for Bone Stock full size production cars. The avg cost to put a car together was about 500.00 bucks.
I wonder why they used to get 150 - 180 cars out to an event. Now they are getting what, 70 maybe 80 cars.

Now your talking 4 000.00 crate motors, whats allowed whats not allowed. An Enduro car should not be 1 second slower than a super stock.
How is it that the 2 McCulloch cars and Book are a full second and more quicker than the rest. I'm not knocking those guys, They seem to be really good guys, but REALLY. There is no way those 3 cars should be lapping the entire field every enduro.

They have opened up the class way too far, and now it's not an affordable alt.

I agree with Church. I built the 03 car with the thought Enduro I can do that.  As you can see from my performance, no I can't do that. I've had fun but I hate getting my *** kicked.  Solution I'm selling my car and just bought a 79 Firebird.  So maybe I'm going to be part of the problem.  But I have no choice.  Like you nothing against the other guys though.
