Well its 1pm by my clock here. Its a little hazy, but it looks like we got blue skies. They should be dropping the green flag right about now.
Looking wistfully out the window....

I think there are a lot of regular Delaware attendees at this race who are here to see the weekly divisions as well as the Supers run. IMO, I think the people that support the track week in and week out should get their racing in before the visiting division, especially this year in light of all the rain outs that have occurred already. Doubles for race teams are not fun and if something happens to you in the first race, you're probably snookered for the second and this can really can mess you up in the points
I'm sorry but I have to vehemently disagree with you on this. Some of the ISMA teams travelled 15-20 hours to get to Delaware and support this big race weekend, and have the same trip back home today so they can go to work tomorrow morning...
They won't be able to come back and make up their races later in the year...Doubles for the race teams might not be "fun", but at least the local teams have a chance to make up a race if it gets rained out.
A lot of fans were also in attendance from out of town, and the stands definitely emptied out somewhat after the Super feature...Those folks also have to get home and rest so they can go to work in the morning.
Anyways...quick ISMA race report...Carol from ISMA will have something up on their site later tonight I am sure:
Dave Shullick, Jr. won the ISMA 50 lapper at Delaware on a very hot and humid afternoon.
Vern Romanoski started on the front row and led much of the feature until it appeared he might have had a tire going flat or some other problem...The MAINEiac looked like he was going to hold off the Shullick 61 until his issue, but he slipped high in turn 2 on lap 48, allowing Shullick to get past, and then spun in turn 1 on the next lap.
Earlier in the feature Mark Sammut got a run on Romanoski in turn 3 and 4, but got too close and bent the right front wing...The car didn't look to handle as well after that.
Shullick got the win followed by Sammut, Jeff Holbrook, and Chris Perley.
