I totally agree with Shadowracer. If they want to have NASCAR back, then okay, that's great. I'm just not interested in it, but I can understand that a lot of people are. Please keep it off of the Labour day weekend though, as what they have is great and will only get better.

From what I have been led to believe, before a track can get a NCATS race, it has to sign up for the NASCAR Whelan series first.  This is the behind the scenes costs that make it a little tough on the tracks that either don't want or can't afford the Whelan series.  Wasn't Delaware a NASCAR track before, and didn't they discontinue the Whelan series?

This is good news for Delaware, but at the same time a costly one as well.
NASCAR will ask for several safety issues to be fixe before they race there.
The Walls are far from straight and Pit Road needs a complete face lift.
As well there is the cost for the event itself and the NASCAR fee's.
I would venture a guess that this one event is going to cost upwards of $175,000.00 for the items listed above. A tall sum of money to pay for one event, although the improvment costs are justified and needed regardless of a NASCAR show or not.

If they do go back to the Labour Day program I am sure it will be a great event and more then likely involve the OSS to run a 100 lapper as a support series to the CTS deal.

Cmon Mid. Some of the tracks the NCTS run are in the same shape as DS. Yes pit road needs to be cleaned up, but so does Cayuga's I think. Correct me if I'm wrong. To say DS needs to fix some safety issues is a bit of a stretch IMO. Look at the safety crew, the best in Ontario. Some of the other tracks have a few teenagers in a pickup and call them a safety crew.
The big factor is the fact that they stopped the Nascar Weekly Series deal i believe. I've been wrong before, maybe again. Who knows.
You'll see a NCTS race down the road thats for sure.

I also have to agree with shadow. I think they sould stick to the plan and make labour day the biggest race  in Canada (like it used to be) !!! It was great when they ran super lates and some of the best racing I ever witnessed !!! Hey shadow drop off my two tickets for my disabled son and daughter and I'll have no prob payin for the rest of the family LOL !!! Or at least make sure you throw us a free frisbee with a top ten qualifiers autograph and number on it in order to win a pic in the winners circle with them after the race (a good idea maybe ? ) or just throw frisbee's with ALL the qualifiers autographs and that way for sure someone will have an experiance they will never forget !!!! Stole this idea from the S.O.S. at Oshweken !!! The crowd loved it !!!!!!!

P.S They have them at the dollar store so don't tell me it would cost too much LOL !!! Heck maybe you could get the drivers to throw thier own autographed frisbee's just before the start of the race ???
