First off....Merry Christmas to all.

Secondly.....Shadow I don't know about you but I was born here and I am a CANADIAN loud and proud. No hyphens. I didn't immigrate here from anywhere and couldn't give a rats behind where my Great Great Grandparents came from. As far as Multi-cult is concerned that was Trudeau's way of buying votes. This myth of multi-cult is fine for folkfest but presumably people immigrate here to get a better life for themselves and their families and left the old country because it was not the way they wanted to live and looked at Canada and said.... Hey they know how to do it! I invite any and all who want to come to this great country to be part of the experience that is Canada but I like my country the way it is thank you very much. We made it this far in pretty good shape.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. And no I'm not religious but value the traditions that this country was founded on.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming  ;D

Well, I never meant to get into politics with my little piece. If you take anything from what i wrote, its that we are indeed free to celebrate any way we want to, and that just because certain public sector entities choose to be all inclusive (and gov't entities HAVE to be), doesn't mean anything is being taken from you.

I'll leave the debates on multiculturalism to other people. Preferably on political/religious message boards.

Well said Ernie!!!  I couldn't agree more.  They want a better life, which is why they came here in the first place.  But they want to bring all their crap with them here.  What was the point in leaving the mother land in the first place?

MERRRY CHRISTMAS everyone and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

I'm as atheist as atheist gets, and I get pissed off at "happy holidays" too.  Not because it insults Christ, but because it's political correctness run rampant.

So yes, kudos to CRO for "daring" to call Christmas Christmas.

No one is stopping any users from saying happy what ever the holiday is. I just hate being told that I can't say what it is.

If I celebrate Xmas, Hanukkah or any other holiday and I say happy whatever I'm not doing this to hurt people that don't celebrate that holiday but to those that do and it has gotten way out of hand if you can't say Merry Christmas to someone. If you don't celebrate it say so and I will apologize and learn about what holidays you do celabrate.

Very simple but our Gov & Schools and some work places are making a huge deal about it people saying Merry Christmas. Some places are not even calling it XMAS Parties anymore.

Happy New years and all the best in the New Year and I hope that's the correct way of saying have a good new year which means the Calendar Year we follow.

Evan
