I was rather shocked to see the cost of admission for the August 7th and 8th race. I do realize that the ISMA cars are there, but honestly 39 dollars at the door or 32 dollars in advance? Personally, I only go to see the late models. That being said, I realize that this type of show has to generate enough money to pay for these ISMA drivers, but I have to wonder if this pricing could have the reverse effect. I for one am now not going due to the cost. This isn't a super series race and no one is racing 200 laps or more. To family that I spoke to about this, first of all no one was aware of the pricing, but then after they were informed of it, they said they could not afford to pay that either. This is family of a driver I am talking about here. I have to wonder how many people will walk away at the gate once they are aware of the price. I can definitely see charging more at the gate, but I think 20 dollars would be the most I would pay.
I believe this is the same price that has been charged in the past and the stands have always been very full. It will be interesting to see what happens this year with the way the economy is.
It costs too much for me to fly to europe so I don't
Crazy is right. Its been the same price since they started bringing ISMA back.
This crops up every year. Soon someone else will post a price comparison about how much cheaper it is to go see them in the States too....and round and round we go.
I agree that it is expensive...but they're charging what the market will bear, and there's nothing dodgy about that.
Yes it is cheaper to go to the states but then you have to factor a lot of thing into it so is it really cheaper?[info width=100 float=right]G Force-3D don't see it in 3D not worth the extra for a 3D Movie[/info]
I go to MIS but it's worth it for me to go as I get a ton of great deals that can't be found in Ontario. Running shoes for 19.99 and they were nike's that cost well over 100 Canadian. Yes buy Canadian when they are not hosing you.
I agree with others saying it cost a lot to do other things. Going to the movies is no cheaper 20.00 per person for 3D movies, Food & snacks another 20.00 - 30.00 so about 60.00 or 70.00 for a movie day. Hockey forget about it. All I can say I don't go to leaf games or plan on it.
So if it is too much don't go.
