BLACK FLAGS???

It seems that this season the black flag has been lost. This friday, a truck badly brake checked the whole field on a restart, causing a couple of trucks to drop out(or go to the rear after pitting). All that happened was the rolled up yellow was pointed at him as a warning. I've been told that in a drivers meeting, they talk about smooth restarts, so why no black flag? The officials are being too easy with on track incidents. What about severe blocking? That was always a black flag in years past. There are a few trucks (77,97,4)that even from the stands you can see swerve the entire front or back straight to keep ahead of somebody much faster, and it causes wrecks. Look at all the late model damage this year. There NEEDS to be more penalties for rough or stupid driving. This is frustrating to watch, because then drivers want revenge, and we get to watch yet another yellow. Please throw in your two cents.

My biggest beef with black flags is that they aren't that much of a deterrent. What you end up with is a guy trying to barrel his way back up to the front after getting sent to the back. And he's mad as hell now.

A black flag for rough driving should mean you're out. Finis. Collect your last place money when you leave.

That would fix a few problems.

i agree with shadow if u get the black for rough driving your done. and the black flag hasen't been used enough. look back to the begining of the year when the 77(truck) spun the 01 takeing the lead and no black flag or anything cost them both the race and alot of work for that week.in short lets get serius here officials is someone going to have to get hurt before you start using it? thats my 2 cents

On the other side, just bear in mind that they may be held to NASCAR procedure in some form or another. I'm not sure what the story is -we can talk all we want here, but it may not be that simple.
