Holy crap, 10 g's. Do they allow fullsize pickups? ;D
"The hitch for competitors will be that the Speedway will keep every car at the end of the race. The purpose behind this new style race is to keep the high dollar "race cars" cars from entering an enduro and making it a race that any one has a chance to win!"
"Any safety equipment installed and the cars battery will remain property of the competitor and he will be allowed to remove it."
So you get to haul an empty trailer home.
Interesting concept .....a little food for thought.
At the end of the race if the track were to inspect these cars and in some cases be able to replace parts from the entire lot to make a few better it could be possible the track as owner of these cars may salvage lets say 15 they could rent them out for future races. Whats bad of course goes to scrap or left a few days for striping of parts before doing once they have the salvageable.
They could grow a fleet of rentables. I can see purse money dropping to normal maybe split between renter and track ( some type of deal) the other guys with their own investment full purse money until their car deemed scrap. Just a skeleton idea here, it might create more upstarts into the real thing for little money. Just my plate for pickens and pondering ???
Then the track is responsible for maintaining them, making sure they are safe etc. Look at the enduro rules there for that track. Its scary. Racing belts and seat recommended.
This event and that idea are a law suit waiting
