and so the SS costs have gone up...and now the trucks cost have gone up to where they are quitting...and now guys that would move up from the lowest class, mini stocks, dont move up because it costs too much and/or start spending like crazy too...10 grand for a cheating 4 cylinder to win $150...racing isnt fun anymore for alot of people...

Lock the rules in 3 years and that's cost control for at least that time
And that's a good start for all classes

Yes, to make ABC racing work you need car count.
But by design it does that because near any full size fendered stockcar with a V8 can get out and race.

Between the current SS and trucks at Delly you have enough for A and B features now, and then you just build on it from there.

I raced my Mod in a no rules event at Kalamazoo this year, ABC format.
In the B feature we started 20 or 22 cars, and 15 of us qualified with in .12 of each other for that feature.
That same B feature had two other Modifieds, at least two Outlaw latemodels, SLM, Sportsman, and Prostock type cars.
Wings, ten inch slicks, and huge sideboards are everywhere in the pits.

Again, this was no rules racing. Something that could be done as a special event once a year.

Weekly ABC format needs some rules. Not alot of rules, but some.

Tape measure and plumb bobs, and build a chassis. You can buy box section from Bill Fowler, and make a chassis, to camaro specs in your driveway. Steel is about $400, with fully pre-bent cage from CSC, you're about $900 with some sheet metal. I have built frames for off-road/desert racing that were factory straight in my driveway.... why buy it??
