Delaware Speedway is looking for the assistance of local on-air and social media to help spread the word that all events for today’s Delaware speedway Pumpkin Smasher are ON AS SCHEDULED. The event will start at 2:00 pm as planned, RAIN OR SHINE.
The afternoon features a Demolition Derby, Bone Stock Chaos Cars, a special Enduro Challenge, and the Open-Ontario Four Cylinder competitors from across the province. The race is the final event of the 2012 season at the track.

it was pretty rough racing in the rain...half way thru that mini stock feature i was so soaked my old body was cramping up and i had to pull off...lol...but thanks to all the delaware speedway staff and sponsors and the fans...i can tick it off the bucket list now...and good job to all the drivers...i think everyone gave some room to other competitors and that any contact was from sliding or not being able to see...i'll contemplate leaving the wiper system in my next mini stock build...lol...and it was hilarious watching kids trying to smash pumpkins half their size...

first heat of the 4 cylinder racing at the pumpkin smasher courtesy of dave bailey's in car camera...only 2 cars had wipers including the #28 dave is chasing...you sure get a better view from the camera than you did from inside the car cuz u couldnt see much more than the car infront of you...this was just the beginning as the rain got worse as the race show went on...dave had help from behind with that spinout..lol
