just for clarification purposes there is no extra million for finishing 13th.  There's been plenty of talk by fans (non Gordon) fans asking why there isn't an advantage given to the leader of the points going into the chase (sort of like the 1st place seeding going into the hockey playoffs).  But as one person pointed out on Sirius NASCAR radio ( I believe it was the Godfather) he said each team knows going into the season that you must be either in the top 10 or within 400 of the leader and that when it comes to the chase each win will get you an extra 5 points.  So they are well aware of what they need to do to stay on top of the standings as they get into the chase.  Not that I agree completely but its a valid point.  I'm still hoping something similar happens to Johnson like Skinner last night in the truck race.  Go Jeff go!!!

I think Gordon should wreck Johnson on Sunday to win the championship. I'd rather none of them win the championship but if one of them is going to then i'd like to see some controversy! What can Jimmie say anyways seeing as Jeff is his car owner! lol.....would be great to see!

lmao....its 10 points for a win, just an FYI....and I don;t think that he should wreck him, but he should not be affraid to race him hard and to the best of his ability....if that means Johnson catches a side draft or loses aero then so be it....its a racing deal....

I know he wouldn't ever do it and obviously the race is over and it didn't happen. I just thought that it would be strange to see it happen! That's cause i don't like either one of them! Why does that have anything to do with Sportsmanship on my behalf? I wouldn't do that if I was Gordon! and no Crumbie should not have wrecked Monette, but that's a different situation!

welp congrats to Jimmie on the championship     can't say I like the guy much..but they sure had one hell of a year... Hendrick in genreal...I think they won 19/36 races that's amazing.

well that's it now....racing's done for good in everything  :'(
