Either way they have done their homework and everyone else is going to have to play catchup. It will be interesting to see if the advantage is as big away from the restrictor plate tracks.
Classic case of the fastest car doesn't always win .
The first 120 laps were a snoozer but it did have a good ending. I have to wonder if Dale Jr made a wise choice bringing his cousin with him to Hendrick.
You can predict a whole season from a race that is a last lap crap shoot ? Anyone of the lead lap in the 500 has a legitimate chance of winning. Rowdy Busch appeared to be the dominate car all race and didn't win either.
Things will become clearer in California.

My comment on Tony Eury Jr has nothing to do with what happened on the last lap . The car Dale Jr started the race with was the same car he finished the race with , Eury Jr was never able to improve upon the car over 500 laps IMO and that of Juniors if you listened to his scanner. What separates good crew chiefs from great crew chiefs is the ability to improve the car over the course of the race . How many times did you see Chad Knaus take a car that Jimmie Johnson was not happy with last year and turn it into a rocket during the race ? When i look up on Juniors pit box and see Darian Grubb sitting behind Tony Jr i think they have the seating positions reversed if they really want the #88 car to win .
I do think you are correct about things becoming clearer when they get to Cali .
