Does anyone know where can you buy an aftermarket body like the one that Randy Bull ran this year??
baker performace parts
delaware has allowed aftermarket fiberglass bodies in the superstocks against the steel bodies with a weight penalty the bodies are made locally and are new style camero, mustang, charger. durability was really very good from what i saw and very good looking cars.
You can buy that the same body that Randy runs from ARP Bodies but it isn't legal (yet) for Barrie.
How do you explain to the fans watching what the difference between your car and Randy's car is? Make that style "thunder" legal and outlaw it in LM?
Want to build LM lite, great, call it for what it is, LLM.
The fans in the stands couldn't tell you what the brand of car is in LM if they had too. They are all the same except for the nose and tail. In Thunder car my question was what is the difference what the body is made of as long as it looks like what it should.
There are cars out there that look nothing like what they are.
On a side note, anyone know when the drivers meetings are yet?
So then what about adding 100lbs to composite body thunder cars? I'll take the 100 pounds to make up for the ease of repairs.
You can buy that the same body that Randy runs from ARP Bodies but it isn't legal (yet) for Barrie. And it's going to be a blast racing again! Doing it for Jimmy. f@#k cancer!
I think the only way to make a weight penalty fair is to actually weight the bodies and see what the difference is. Whatever the difference in weight is should be the penalty. Also, a 1/8 thick steel plate should be welded on top of the halo above the drivers head, for safety and even up the weight up high.
And ya, #%£€ cancer! Really is good to have you back Mike, all the best to you in 2012, really sorry to hear about Jim, he was a great guy and a serious talent behind the wheel.
