Can anyone tell me what the difference is regarding what the body of your car is made of as long as it looks like the car it should be?
If you are running a 88 Monte Carlo then that's what it should look like. It shouldn't make a difference, the car needs to weigh 3100lbs.
It's where the weight is. On a steel body car their is a lot of weight up high, and the body itself weighs alot more than fiber glass. I'm not sure of exact numbers for weight difference, but it's a bunch. Durability is also an issue once you start running steel bodied cars versus fiberglass. That's about the only place the steel wins. There are tons of newer body styles in the wrecking yards, people just need to get a bit more creative.
Btw, nice to see you back in the game Mike 😉
Does anyone know where can you buy an aftermarket body like the one that Randy Bull ran this year??
So then what about adding 100lbs to composite body thunder cars? I'll take the 100 pounds to make up for the ease of repairs.
You can buy that the same body that Randy runs from ARP Bodies but it isn't legal (yet) for Barrie.
And it's going to be a blast racing again! Doing it for Jimmy. f@#k cancer!
