The website is terrible. You have 3 choices, schedule, standing and series. Series page is just full of links to the other series. Not a single word on any of the drivers. Ok I did find qualifying times, but how about from last year? But anyhow..

This is not about OSS vs NCTS, dosn't have to be, never was. Its just OSS deserves a bit more respect. If you want a bad race, maybe I should see if I can get the Ontario Legends series sent out your way... Second thought no, you'd want to hurt me.

with all due respect, i think the ontario legends series actually has a deeper field when it comes to driver talent...

but you're entitled to your opinion, just like im entitled to mine

I Agree Spencer definitely would rather watch the legends race....they put on a hell of a show as for OSS....watched them twice last year and im sorry...just definitely by far the worst show bv a touring series...

Cheers

Mike  ;D

Two points here:
1 - There's links to CASCAR, but they're nothing like CASCAR ever was at any point in time. Everything's the same, but it will never be the same nor even come close to it. When it comes down to it, I have no faults with the competitors of the series, and I can understand why those competitors are there. At the same time, there's no doubt in my mind that in a few years, the series will be viewed as hampering the forward progression of latemodel racing in Ontario. In all honesty, if this series became the biggest thing in Ontario, I'd walk away from asphalt racing completely.
2 - The only poster I don't care for here is yourself, as most of your ideas are completely ridiculous, blindingly obvious or demonstrate no idea as to real-life implementation other than just snapping your fingers and expecting money to come from nothing in order for it to be so. Seriously, if you think the OSS and South Buxton are the future of the sport around here (and again, no offense to those competing there) even though one's past its best-before date and the other has the bottom dropping out, what else am I to think? I'm done dealing with you, unless you post something outrageous (which in all honesty shouldn't take too long at all)...

Ok now my take on the OSS. Now in the past I have been one of this series biggest critics saying things like" Three quarters of the field couldnt drive a sharp stick into a snowbank."LOL Now this being said, I had never seen an OSS race till this past Sat, so I really had no right to say this as most of the drivers were quite unfamiliar to me. Has my opinion changed???? Only marginally. That first 50 was a brutal race to watch!!! Several cautions were caused by lesser lights, including one before the race even began!!! And was totally unimpressed that it took them over a half hour to get the grid set for this one!!! Just what they were doing still remains a mystery to me. In the race itself, Josh Wood took the early lead followed by Mike Alguirre and Matt Robblee. The star of the show #28 Steve Robblee would soon pass his son to move into 3rd, leading the way for 40 year racing veteran #43 Bob Merrifield to follow. Robblee, was a bullet in this one, and the question wasnt if he would get to the front but rather when. This would occur about the midway point, when Robblee passed leader Alguirre and would march on virtually unchallenged from there!!! Steve was driving noticeably deeper into the tight Barrie corners as compared to the rest of his competitors, and was clearly the class of the field. Alguirre rode it out to finish 2nd, with #82 Dave Conelly, #27 Matt Robblee, and #72 Ashley Taws rounding out the top 5. As I say the slow pace of the race made this one hard to watch, and it took over an hour to run!!! Not a good way to start winning over new fans!!! Now this being said the 2nd 50 was great, it was run caution free!!! I'm kinda partial to caution free races and a fast pace, so this is why I felt this race was substantially better. Even though #88 Steve Mathews checked out on the field from the pole as some of the other fast cars were stuck making their way through lapped traffic!!! The 88 of Mathews totally impressed me with his driving ability and it was a pleasant suprise to see how good this driver is, as he was a relative unknown to me heading in. Steve Robblee finished 2nd, proving once again he was fast at Barrie and would be on the move in the 3rd 50 as well. #81 Shawn McGlynn finished 3rd, with #66 Josh Wood, and Alguirre rounding out the top 5. In the 3rd 50, there was a great late race duel with Merrifield and McGlynn exchanging the lead several times. This was the highlight of what was a bit of a lackluster race otherwise!! Josh Wood finished 3rd, with Matthews, and #10 Mitch Brown rounding out the fast five!! Impressive result for the youngster Brown who was driving a car that looked much like a modified due to an accident in the first 50. This is another driver that could have a future if given time!!! Now as for the whole show I came away with a bit more respect for the OSS, but the prolonged delay at the start of the 1st race really soured me so there are still things to work out it seems!!! The OSS announcer has to go!!!! Way to exciteable, and didnt really give any valued info to enhance the show!!! But was impressed with youngsters Matthews and Brown so it did open up my eyes somewhat to the drivers in the OSS. I didnt have to pay to get in but would have trouble swallowing 25 bucks to get in the spectator gate to see this night of racing, so I really believe the speedway slightly over charged to see this show! Would give the OSS a 5 out of 10 at best for entertainment value from what I witnessed!!!!
