Ross you missed my point, yes the OSS deserves respect but only when the series becomes stronger competitively compared to other series out there. I like the concept of double features and such but as for the quality of fields it just isn't there yet. This may change as you said as years go by. But my comments were to you saying you could not find any information about the NASCAR Canadian series on the NASCAR site and the times when the races are now shown on tv. And if you check the NASCAR local homepages on a regular basis you will see stories from each of the series there posted each week. Are there specific driver profiles NO but was there when it was run under the CASCAR banner, not that I recall. But compared to where the series was 2 years ago there is more information available now. Eg. race starts, top 5's, winnings, points standing and entry lists for the upcoming events. Do I want to see the OSS die absolutely not, as there are many teams trying to build the series into a decent travelling series in Ontario just not there yet compared to NCATS. And as I pointed out in a previous post about the OSS the $35 charge was excessive but that was a choice of BSW since I paid less then $20 to watch them earlier this year at Mosport. The fans truly deserve their money's worth and it doesn't sound like that happened at Barrie yesterday.
Ross your remarks reguarding OSS you are right on support them. This is just another series of cars that in there day were #1 in Canada (CASCAR ) why people bash them I donot know.
Are you that stupid, or is it just an act? They're not anything close to what the Super Series was in its heydey, or even the better years of the Carquest Sportsman tour. I'm sure many people around here can give you a list, ranked alphabetically or by category, of reasons to critcize the OSS tour.
Ok please do. Maybe start with why 4-funs are better that a touring late model class....
They wrecked in the 1st 50? Its short track racing here right?
No passes for the lead?
Go re-read the OSS forum discussions since, oh, last fall and get back to me.
Mobil1fan are these cars not old CASCAR style cars yes did I mention anything about Super Series or Carquest series no.Was CASCAR #1 in Canada in its hay day yes.Do the majority of the OSS drivers that drive in the series did they not drive under the CASCAR banner (either Super Series or Carquest Series )yes.Yes I realise this group had problems on this site but why keep bashing them all they are doing is racing. Is there anything wrong with that no but for some reason you have had a problem with this group from day one why I donot no but one thing I know for sure they are racing and all you like to do is complain about them.At least I have class and donot call people stupid as you like to call posters who donot agree with you.Good night and this is just my opinion.
Yes I realise this group had problems on this site but why keep bashing them all they are doing is racing.
I hope everyone remembers that it wasn't the OSS drivers or crews that caused problems on this site last fall. It was one particular person. I just checked the OSS site and that person is not even listed any more. Let's not judge the entire series by the actions of one person.
Regarding respect mentioned earlier in the thread - everyone who races a car deserves our respect.
I judged the oss simply byt the show they put on...and anyone i talked to agreed....they were awful...
