I am sorry, but I can't let this one slide. A few weeks ago, everyone was saying how bad things were, because the black flag was never used. Now apparently, a driver should be allowed to push another driver around the track under caution, ignore an officials request several times, and just get away with it? Now the officials may or may not have made a bad call, but Dwayne has had the call go in his favour on several occasions in the past. Some you win, and some you lose. It is as simple as that. IMO he should be awarded at some kind of penalty, regardless of if he decides to darken the doors of Barrie Speedway again or not. I know that things get a little heated on the track, but an official is an official, and they cannot afford to let actions like this slide.

darn we missed an interesting evening. But I had fun camping Saturday so it was all good. Heard somebody say something bad about the 4 cylinder race but never explained what happened. Can somebody please clarify what went wrong? Too bad for Baker. it was just a heat though. Too bad he just didn't go to the back. In a feature it would be the right time to complain because that is where the most points are earned. But I wasn't there so I will not be able to give my opinion.. I am a Baker fan though, so don't forget it.

dad says he's done after this year. too much money and no fun! when he started in 2002 he loved it, the only reason he is going to finish this year is 'cause he doesn't have the sponsor money to give back to his sponsors and he isn't the type to screw someone over.

WOW!!!! Go off this site for 48 hrs. and so many new and interesting topics I want to post on, just dont know where to start!!LOL So I will stay away from the Sunset threads for now and concentrate on my home track BSW!!!! This is the 20 min rundown portion, and sorry for the delay but I was bagged after working at the track and then my other job!!! OK here we go!!! LLM feature won by #2 " Hometown" Mike Brown. Mike, got the jump on the 84 of Cronan and led the entire distance in this one. The "Red Rocket" #69 Al Inglis would finish 2nd, for the 2nd week in sucession, and 3rd time this season. It is fast becoming a utter joy to watch Inglis race and come up from the back of the pack each week! #97 Rob Inglis would finish 3rd, this after pushing high in 1&2 on the last lap and forcing Shepherd to do the same. Good run for Rob!!! #8 Dave Lewis and #28 Robin Jongen would round out the top 5. Point leader #19 Keith McLeod would have mechanical troubles in the Look Company Dodge and ended up 16th out of 17 starters. Keith, would win both of his heats and should carry a slim 3 point lead over Shepherd heading into next weekend if my calculations are correct.  Other heats went to #97 Rob Inglis and #42 Jeff Walt. The Walt win was his 1st since his return to BSW at the beginning of the season, so that was nice to see a new car win. Pure Stocks it was #63 Brandon Crumbie taking the win for the 3rd time in 08 to further increase his point lead. Crumbie, would announce in his post race interview that he plans on moving to the LLM division in 09. #2 Ben Melenhorst would give Crumbie all he could handle over the late stages and finished a strong 2nd. #4 Mike Meyer would finish 3rd after getting passed by the 1-2 cars in the late going!!! I didnt write down the top 5 for this race as I seemingly was occupied!!!LOL Thayne said he finished 4th but no idea who came 5th!!! So my report on this division for the Barrie site might be lacking this week!!! If you know who finished 5th please let me know!!! Heats went to Melenhorst, Meyer, #24 Tom Milligan, and #45 Derek Surerus. Milligan, would get caught up in a wreck in his 2nd heat and had to race #76 Joe Ficker's car in the feature. In the Chargers, it was #98 Brent Stieler taking the win, his 2nd of the year in this his rookie season. #49 Mike Woodward would lead the entire way, until he and the 90 of Jim McDonald got tangled up on the backstretch on the last lap!!! This was a racing deal and I dont think was by no means intentional!!! Both guys handled the situation with class and a few drivers could learn from the way these two approached their unfortunate circumstances. 2nd was #99 Drew Stieler, his best result of the season after some very hard luck all year long. Point leader #21 Desi Walt would make a late charge on the high line to finish 3rd. #33 Crystal Doucette followed Walt into 4th, getting past the 15 of Burtoo, who rounded out the fast 5. Heats went to Walt, Doucette, McDonald, and #2 Billy Melenhorst. Of note 2 visiting drivers in the LLM with #99 Tim Burke of Peterborough Speedway making his 1st Barrie start in a very clean looking car. The other newcomer was #37 Ricky Walt of Barrie Thunder Car fame, who ran a former Tara McLeod car. Ricky was super impressive and finished inside the top 10. I think you'll see Ricky move up eventually, and as Sat night proved he has more than enough talent to run with the big boys!!! Well there you have it!!! Will do a little rundown of the OSS in another thread, as well as give my take on the Baker/Shepherd deal that happened in heat #1!!! Should be a good read so stay tuned!!!
