not that anyone is going to care, but this is my last post on cro. if anyone wants to pm me i will be happy to answer, i will still watch. i absolutely love racing and i support Barrie Speedway to the hilt. Is it perfect no, but has it ever been. The new owners are doing their best and have done alot for the drivers, registration, tire prices etc. i know they will get it right but coming on here and smashing the local tracks is hurting them and us, and i'm as guilty as anybody. i want these places especially barrie to succeed and i wont take part in these discussions anymore. like i say nobody probably gives a damn but i hope i'm starting something positive. will i get pissed , sure but i will vent to the appropriate people and my friends. long live short track racing in ontario and lets help the new people to be successful. GO BARRIE GO!!!

That one good way to think about it, but as you've said, you will still be mad at certain things.

Whats better, to come out in the open and air them, or to keep them to yourself, untill you get pissed off enough that you simply don't go to the track anymore?

What is being said here, is excatly what is being said in the pits. Atleast here, management has the opertunity to address them. Everything here could've been handled in a positive mannor.

Opening night a Kawartha, mini feature was pushed aside for running OSSCAR at the last minute. Each mini driver was given a 30 dollar gift certificate to Canadian tire, and the mini class was given a 50 lap feature, with the higher payouts the next week. I don't think there is one driver that was mad about that. Management knew there would be a problem and adressed it.

To make your concerns public, is unfortunate is came to that point, that the issues were not adressed. However its more positive to bring them out in the open here, so they still can be. The only other option is that you all stay upset, are negative and complaining in the pits, behind managements back, and it won't get resolved.  Either way everyone will still know it, but it will just be in the form of a rumor, passed orally from person to person and track to track... Better to come from the horse's mouth I always think..

"Sorry we had to cut you guys for OSS, but they bring in extra money, and we could really use that given the weather and other factors this season, lets run an extra week" Would anyone have a problem with that?

"Sorry we couldn't order tires, its been hard for all of us this year. Lets work with what we got, knowing that, try and make your tires last a bit longer, you are all at the same unfortunate disatvantage, lets race" Would anyone have a problem with that?

"Guys, Barrie is not running thunder this week, we'd like to welcome them here, its good for all of us. Mideason is important to our regualar drivers, so lets make next week midseason, so that this week we can all race together this week, help out our fellow drivers and all come out ahead" Any problems with that?

Post it here, or think it in your head, its still happening, and the same negative effect will still result. Atleast here it has a better oportunity to be adressed....

Jim its better to do it on here then at the track. You can always delete a post but you can't tack back bump in the corner or the punch thrown in the pits(not that you would do that). On here its safe, it gives us a chance to moan and groan about things we don't like. Don't say you want to stop posting, but maybe refrain from getting caught up in the little things. (this is just my opinion)

Well it's my opinion that one thing was done right last nite. I know I will  probably get shot for this, but if it is true that Baker got into the back of Sheppard on the caution lap, and again I say if it is true cause it is what I was told I didn't see it for myself, then black flagging him was the right call. As far as Baker and Sheppard having the mishap in the corner well it's my understanding that involved cars go to the back. Now what happened in the 4's well I am not going there. Thats where the biggest problem lies this year and I don't know what the problem is, well maybe I do but I won't get into it on here, but if something isn't done fast, someone is going to get punched out. We can all see it coming.
