Not sure where to post this but hoping either someone from Barrie or Nascar Canada will read this and provide some feedback.  I was thoroughly frustrated today when I arrived to watch the race.  I arrived at the track just after 10am to hear the sounds of the cars heading out on the track and thought great the track is good to go and the infield was cleaned up so we were going to have a great day of racing.  I work my way over from parking at Burrell's Creek only to find that there was no one at the ticket gate.  Now realize that I had previously tweeted to NASCAR hometracks and Barrie Speedway to try and find out if and when a new schedule would be posted so we could find out as fans to when the gates would be opened.  I found a new schedule posted on the NASCAR hometracks site but did not check the Barrie Speedway site directly so I'll take the blame for that partly.  I check the Barrie site as I'm standing waiting inline to purchase my tickets today only to find out the spectator gates were not supposed to open until 11:30am.  Here's where my problem comes from why were we fans (and there was about 40 of us) standing outside the gate not allowed to come in until the practice session was over?  Since there was only the NCATS race being held today would it not have been something the track or series could have done to give the fan more value for their $40 dollar admission fee?  I mean the sooner we get in the sooner we start spending our money buying food and drinks at the concession stands.  If your going to be part of social media be courteous who follow and try and help promote your events and bring in multiple people to the event by responding to those people when they ask questions.  I wasn't looking for a direct comment to me only as I'm sure there were lots of people trying to find out this information a simple comment of for all followers on these accounts please go to a specific website for the most upto date information.  Did me and my guests enjoy the race absolutely but that was more due to the on track action and not the actions of those in charge of the track.  So hard to help build a fan base when things like this happen cause those new people coming will see how 1 event is run poorly and will say why waste my time and money when they don't seem to care about 1 of the factors of why the series exists.

To add to yetties comments. If you open 2 hrs early there will always have someone showing up 3 hrs early and complaining that they should have opened the gates earlier. Now for me im normally 1/2 hr late.  And again it all comes down to profit and staffing.  Im sure as a owner you are alway looking how to to make more money and sure they have it all worked out what time they should be there to let people in vs profit and staffing.  Just my opinion.
