I thought it was great to see the awesome bunch of drivers from Barrie Speedway come and race . Both tracks have some pretty good talent or I wouldn't have been there , like I have for many years . Sunset needs to sit down and get the starting lineups in order . It doesn't look too good when we all wait so long for the show to go on . Wes , please make sure your staff treats any drivers and fans who come in to Sunset at times with respect . Their efforts need to be recognized and who knows maybe they'll come and enjoy it enough to stay . Once again thanks Barrie cars for your presence at Sunset Speedway . I know the group I sit with really enjoyed having you all . Come back soon !    Oh yeah , Tex >>>>>I like your new hat !!!!  😉

Thanks again for the hat guys it's awesome!

Yea what the hell is this thing with kids in the pits, I am sorry, it only takes one second for a parent to look the other way, especially in the pits and a child dashes out and thats it, one child hurt.... I totally disagree with young children being in the pits, it just isn't any place for them, so easy to get hurt.... I saw a sign that said 12 years and older, at the pit gates, but saw very young children on the pits side. Is this an indication of new management at sunset, what will it take, some child getting hurt or killed in the pit area before they wake up. Drivers and crews have enough on there minds getting ready to race, without having to watch for young children as well. If I'm not mistaken there were young children down in the centre field as well and running across the track... what are they even doing down there where they have cars parked getting ready to race, the new owner needs to seriously give his head a shake before something unfortune happens, like a child getting killed..... and don't tell me it can't happen cause it can and perhaps will.....

We all share the same sentiment as far as safety goes......the track seems to be lacking in that department which has some drivers scared, I agree, kids should be in the stands until they are atleast old enough to understand direction......but then again there are some adults that dont understand direction well either so its a no win situation I guess. Its just par for the course at Sunset right now, hopefully Wes continues the turn around from scoring and ppoints to safety, its definately lacking!

What if they sectioned off a small part of the pits to allow kids in but they must stay in the sectioned off area, that way they are around the action and smells that make short track Saturday nights so much fun. Just a thought you never really know.

BS97 and Yorkie.  There was a major mix up with the 4 Cylinders last night.

The problem was rectified as best as it could have been given the circumstances.  As you know BS 97 I spoke to you personally.  This was not against Barrie drivers in any way shape or form.
I personally screwed up on 2 out of 3 drivers not making the feature.  I spoke to each one of these guys and told him I felt extremely bad and asked them what it would take to help soften the blow.  The one driver replied just to race the race... I told him I couldn't make that happen as the feature was over and would 50. tow money be okay.  He was a gentleman and shook my hand and said we all make mistakes.  I took 100.00 out of my wallet and handed it to him and his buddy to try and compensate for what happened.

BS97 I told these fellows to let you know the deal.  You proceeded to make your way to the tower for your money.

I have never professed to be perfect.  And this I might add is one of those times when I wasn't.  We are definately still irioning out some of the procedures for keeping track of cars and starting line- ups etc.
The issue with the delay in 4 cylinder feature was nothing but BS  I had the Thunder Car and 4Fun feature lineups ready to go.
The screw up started when they pressured me right after the LM feature to produce the one line up they didn't have.

What some of you might not realize is that due to the previous features.  All our drivers race percentages had to be worked out for the second feature.

Anyway just wanted all to know before they spew off with this and make it more than it was.  I am an experienced Handicapper/Scorer.  I have 26 years experience under my belt.  I'm no rookie.  Just like any vetran driver..........he/she can make a mistake too,
