Getting back to Garry Reynolds.. What was his rookie year then?? 1973?? Anyone have any pics of that first car if so?? 😉
Anyone in particular? 😉
Garry told me this was the car from the 1974 season.
All of the Garry pics that used to be on the kdm racesports site are on my fotki:

WOW... u guys have great memories. I know one thing for sure, is that Gary was one of the guys that the Northern invaders always had to run hard against week in and week out, as he was always one of the best. I myself really enjoyed racing against Gary, he was a super guy on and off the track. Truly a Barrie Speedway legend.
Well I talked it over with my crew and we think it great that you guys are looking forward to seeing some Sauble cars for your memorial race. I personally didn't know Garry Reynolds but from what i hear he was a guy that made racing at Barrie Speedway exciting for many years. We would love to come and compete with the best drivers at Barrie Speedway but have never been there before and need a little help. What gear, Wedge, Stagger do we need to get started. Gord I don't want all your tricks but throw I guy a bone and we will be there to support Barrie Speedway
That's AWESOME your thinkin of making the trek Jason (if that's you).. I"m a big fan of yours, despite only having seen you race on a handful of occasions.. While I can't answer many of your questions I believe your Sauble gearing should be close to what you need at Barrie.. I believe most guys at Barrie run 6:20 or 6:33 final gearing (with crate motor at least).. Not sure if your a built or crate guy..I'm assuming built.. Most of the Barrie guys run crate motors.. Dont know if that helped, I really cant offer much more in regards to stagger, wedge etc.. I know a few of the top Barrie LLM guys do browse here like Quesnelle, Inglis and Brown so perhaps one of them can answer your questions in a bit more detail..
Congrats to #44 Dave Doucette and #13 "The Gipper" Dave Glaze on there performance at Sauble in the Dash for Cash. One reason why no LLM showed up there in my opinion would be that the rules for Sauble cars are 10:1 compression for there built motors, basically they still are the old Alstar Late models rules. This does not favor any Barrie LLM cars as there built motor rules are 9.6:1, I know that Sauble also has a crate motor program but not sure how many run the crate? and I can't see the crate being able to compete even with a weight break.
If any Sauble cars were to show up at Barrie then they would have to add weight 4 sure, how much weight? TBD by the track themselves.
