No kids on teams. Unless the 14 year old is DRIVING, kids should be in the spectator seats.

how about the 14 yr old who is changing my tires and any other quick fixes i need while i am driving, the 14 yr old who is there every week LEARNING  about stock car racing and then telling his freinds how much fun it is. what about the 14 yr old who i would rather have than some of the "adults" who spend their time in the pits doing nothing productive but doing a great job of getting in the way. sorry i'll take my 14yr old any day

just my rant.

We've had this discussion before.  If common sense was common, there would be no issue!  Unfortunately common sense has gone the way of the do-do bird, and the tracks are left to make their own rules.  There are pros and cons to each viewpoint.  My opinion is that well behaved, well parented children are not a problem.  The problem arises when kids that do require supervision, do not receive it.  One thing is for sure, it would be horrible for any child to be hurt.

This is how i got into racing. when i was 14 my dad forced me to go with him one night, i liked it, and it is the only reason i race today. i think if kids arent allowed on race teams, there is no way for them to learn anything. i learned everything i know about cars while i was in the pits.
