I also think a problem you're seeing with the older crowd is the tracks are not doing anything to entice the younger fans to come out. I think they should discount the price of students(anybody with a Student card, HS or university) gets in for 10 bucks. They will more than likely come back as it's cheaper than a movie whereas at 14-15 bucks, it's more expensive than a movie....got to compete in the entertainment business and I think that is one way to bring the younger people to the track. Also might get a few more drivers out of it too!
This is a great idea the student admission....
Brad, who else is leaving with you that you have heard?
im definatly coming back next year but not in the division i was is in... and the rest is a secret! 😛
im definatly coming if they run 16's. if not ill have to change over, or just travel to tracks that run 16's.
I dunno what its like at barrie as we dont race there.
But at Varney - all you see is young people and drivers.
thats part of the reason why we make that our home track - its because it's a famliy friendly track, where you can bring ur kids and thats alright.
But dont know about the student prices - I mean, at most tracks its 18+ to get into the pits, and at 18 you're an adult. Just like anyone can be a student - young or not - you can be a student at any age.
I think that if tracks were more famliy friendly than you would see parents bringing theirkids to the track more ofen.
But I have heard that a lot of drivers will no longer be running at sunset this coming season, which is a shame cause it was a good track, but looks like barrie is going to have a lot of cars coming out to race this year.
