I would say the economy is going to keep more people home than we think.
I don't know I mean last year the excuse was the gas prices...i think ppl are gonna come just like last year, the issue is not the economy or gas it is the lack of interested younger viewers....
it is the lack of interested younger viewers....
bingo on that one....you look in the stands most nights, and I'd say atleast 80% are 35+
but you get the few family with kids and such, but there just there for a family day at the races...are any of thoese kids going to contiune going? I dout it.
I'm one of the few...I went to my first race with my family when I was 3 years old...I'm 19 now and still going strong ;D haha
I also think a problem you're seeing with the older crowd is the tracks are not doing anything to entice the younger fans to come out. I think they should discount the price of students(anybody with a Student card, HS or university) gets in for 10 bucks. They will more than likely come back as it's cheaper than a movie whereas at 14-15 bucks, it's more expensive than a movie....got to compete in the entertainment business and I think that is one way to bring the younger people to the track. Also might get a few more drivers out of it too!
;D did this last year time again what do you all think about the car counts at
barrie speedway in 2009 😮
I think there will be lots of cars. i know lots of people are leaving sunset including myself
