Big Weekend at Barrie Speedway

Rain last Saturday night forced the cancellation of our race program. As a result, will have racing this Saturday and Sunday at Barrie Speedway.General admission price for Saturday's show is $25.00. We'll also have a two-lap process of elimination round for AWD drive cars, again with $100 going to the winner. the winners from each round will then square off in the final with $300 and a trophy going to the winner. Format for the final round will be 5-lap pursuit - best two out of three.Drivers “After Race Party” (Saturday)The speedway is planning an “after race party” for all drivers, crews and their families after the races on Saturday September 13th. (I think they mean Sept 20th?) It’s a special “thank you for racing at Barrie Speedway” from the owners. Details will be available at the Pit Gate this Saturday.There will be camping available either at the Speedway or at Burls Creek. Details will be released shortly as to whether it will be at the Speedway or at Burls. There are also special rates for race teams of $89 per night available at Horseshoe Resort .courtesy of www.barriespeedway.com

Just to save everyone some time- HorseShoe Valley Resort is now 100% SOLD OUT !!
They said many fans were coming in for the OSS race and rooms went quickly.
Just my luck, Where is another good place to stay close to the track ?
Any suggestions and phone numbers would be appreciated. Thanks

If its by the hour or week, stay away LOL

was hopeing it was gonna start at 2 on Sunday .....I can't get there untill sometime between 1:30-2 ..... 🙁

hey, try carriage hills...it is at horseshoe too, they have condos that aren't too bad...

look in orillia, highwayman inn for example. lots close to the highway and 15 minutes to the track!

yep, there are also a few in barrie, 20 mins away, tops...holiday in, comfort in, big 8 (or whatever the name of that motel with the number 8 in it)
