+1 chris, sunset is awesome and dilley and crew have worked wonders. probably the nicest in ontario, but $$$ dictates where you go. 5 min drive or 50 min drive?? ::)  i'm still going for the invi's unless some sponsor $ comes my way!

Jim i thought you were headed south with the rest of the fast guys ?  You ran great at the old Sunset and there is no doubt you would be just as good at the new Sunset . I cant believe that your not going to run at what you say is " probably the nicest " track in Ontario to save 25 bucks a week on fuel .

Some people have suggested that a couple of Barrie drivers decided to stay after they knew all the hot dogs where leaving for Sunset . I would never say it but some have said that certain mid packers saw this as there big chance to shine  .

Championships are funny things some mean a lot and some mean f all  ,  it all depends on who you beat .

Holland Landing.......are you kidding that all the fast drivers are gone from Barrie? A championship this year will mean F All??  That makes no sense to me. Have you ever been to a race at Barrie? Maybe I am wrong but I think there are only a couple Thunder drivers headed to Sunset which leaves quite a few fast cars. Ken, Jim, Chris, Thayne (and a few I am likely forgetting) are all guys that race you hard every week and will put on a good show this year again. Why do you find it necessary to come on here and question peoples decision where they want to race?  Whether it be financial, time or any other reason, the decision is there's and should be respected.

I wish luck to any drivers that are going to Sunset, it appears to be a great facility. I do not question your decision to race there and I plan on going there for an invitational this season if I have time. At season's end both tracks will have Champions to crown and both with have something to be proud of.

+1 Leonard, thanks for telling it like it is  ;D 😮 ;D

I'm very happy that the new owners have stepped up at Sunset and I'm sure it's going to be gorgeous... But like Kenny said to me, and this is how I feel too, "It doesn't feel like home". I've been going to Barrie since 1980.

I'm looking forward to the invitationals for some good racing with our friends at Sunset. And maybe take some of their money and trophies too, with a little luck  ;D
