Steve, I dont think you will see Sunset up its purses, as long as they have the interest of the drivers.  There is no need for them to pay out anymore money then what they are now, becouse people are happy with whats going on so far.  Paying more cash out the window for no real reason is just wasting what little money a race track in ontario might actually be making.

If Sunset didnt make money on the long weekend of May, it never will.  The stands were only half as full this past weekend as they were the double header.  In other words, the idea of filling the stands to max every night is a dream, not reality, and these tracks need to realize that.  Its the same 500-600 people every night, and that crowd cant afford to spend money and time at the races ALL year long.  You need to find a way to bring in fresh blood to the track every once in awile, becouse the same old crowd doesnt cut it all year.

that makes sense Charlie...why pay more when they are coming anyways. Barrie needs some more so they up theirs.

As for Whelen possibily being upset Thayne, they have to know that there is a newly configured track just to the south that people are all hyped up about. I think things will even out eventually.

just to go with what charlie said....this past weekend was our biggest crowd.....coincidence?
