Ok we have a bent rear axle in a ford 9 rearend we cant get it out, we've tried a chain and have been snapping the heck out of it like a whip but cant get it to budge. Does anyone have any other suggestions on how we might be able to remove it??

There is a slide hammer tool that bolts to the axle flange and it has about a five pound slide on it that should remove the axle. I'm also assuming you have taken the nuts off on the  inside of the axle housing that hold the bearing retainer on.

I have had success putting a piece of tubing through the other axle side and hammering it out  instead of trying to pull it out. It works with spool or locker but won't work on a mini spool with a pin between the two axles. When you install the new axle you should check the toe of the housing and make sure your housing isn't bent either or your be chasing setup problems afterward.  Good luck and hope it helps

we have a mini spool with the pin so punching it from the otherside will be no help. We have the nuts that hold the bearing retainer off as well. I guess we can try to find the slide hammer tool. not sure if it will work but we can try. if that doesn't work nthen i think were screwed.

I wonder if you take off the front pinion support and pull the pinion if you would somehow be able to get the pin out.  Also maybe is you try undoing the center section bolts. That may allow it move around enough to slip out of the splines.
