BARRIE SPEEDWAY ANNOUNCES INCREASED PRIZE MONEY AND DRIVERS IN FREE!
Barrie Speedway announced Tuesday that they will be increasing their Pure-Stock and Thunder Car purses. Pure-Stock winners will now win $300 for a regular feature win, up from $220, and the top-20 weekly finishers in the four-cylinder class will all see an increase to their nightly total. Thunder Cars will now be competing for a $500 first-place feature win. Barrie Speedway will also be allowing all drivers in for free, begining immediately.

Competition is alwas a good thing. The racers in Simcoe County should count themselves lucky.

Well that's awesome news for our drivers.. Kinda had a feeling a move like this might be comin down the turnpike.. 😉 I hope a few of you drivers take the time to thank Jim, as there's usually enough negativity said when things go slightly amiss, so by thanking him personally he'll know this latest gesture was appreciated. And who knows maybe he'll try his best to please the drivers in the future and listen to ideas and suggestions.. Now that just might work!!
