I read the rules again and it states NO POINTS for the heats.  Is this true still or is that last years un updated stuff??  If they are not counting heats points that is the WORST things ever.  What is the point of running the heats then?  People follow the points and are counting heat points and positions, and so are the drivers trust me.

The 4 cyl tire issue, if they switch to a spec tire and it lasts a long time and doesnt fall off after a few nights then fine good call, but I totally get the issue with that.  Best just make the FALCON AZENA your spec tire, becouse that is what 70 percent of the cars are carrying around in their pickup trucks now anyways.  And, its largly the majority of what guys were runnning at Sunset I noticed yesterday.

I also think they need to put put a tighter clamp on the dominating, if your winning 60 percent of the features, I think by now you should be ripped apart for the sake of everyone else, to at least make it look like your teching!  If its legal fine, but rolling through tech like its your first ever heat win night after night is bull.
When I ran thunder at Barrie, I had my intake ripped off after my first ever feature win, and I wasnt ever full time that year, and prior to that, I finnished third in features and had my intake and heads ripped aparts, and I was not ever close to the fast cars!!  Start getting your shirts dirty again Barrie tech!

I believe Rick and Di are working on a new Barrie Speedway site that's why that site hasn't been updated. cars not running for points last year in the heats was stupid or at least we found. Were going to have to figure out something next year anyways, with both the pure stocks and the thunders. Switching from 1 to 2 heats with thunders and 2 to 3 heats in pure stocks is harsh even in terms of trying to keep track of points. We need a constant heat value, Thunders car for example if we run 1 heat the 1st place guy still only get 5 points where if we run 2 heats both 1st place guys still get 5 points. I think we should have a standard set up where with 2 heats we run 5 points per race leader finish and if put down to 1 heat it goes up to 10 points down. I don't know that's just my opinion anyways.

To me switching to 3 heats broke the cardinal rule of life and racing " IF IT AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT !!!"
We've been running the pure stocks the same way for the last 11 years. At least points/handicap/scoring wise. I can't speak for the rest of it.

On the other hand davey I'll give you a little pull. What would you like to see done? if under 25 2 heats of pure stocks. If 26+ we return to 3 heats and run a "B"? (considering 26 is considered a full field)

To Dixon 27, you're right you shouldn't be getting ran over. You know you're not the fastest but you do keep your line. Other drivers need to give the less experienced drivers  a little more respect and a few laps as well, so they need to work their way around you.

As for the handicapping ya I'm aware its been done that way for quite a while and I do think the way its done is fair, and in general set up to produce entertaining racing.. But I would like to see the 4 bangers revert back to 2 heats.. I'm also ok with the heat race points the way its set up currently although in essence for next year perhaps you should base it by # of starters in said heat race.. If 8 cars in heat, winner gets 8 points, 2nd 7 pts, 3rd 6 pts on down.. That way everyone picks up some kinda points.. What's happening now is that say for an 8 car heat race its usually the same 5 cars finishing amongst the top 5 in that particular heat.. So the cars finishing in the 6th ,7th, and 8th positions are usually the same cars that dont score many/any points each week.. By giving even a last place finisher 1 point it keeps things that much closer in the standings throughout the season.. And who doesnt like a close battle for the title in Sept.. 😉

As far as the Thunders, what we have been doing 12 cars one heat, 13 or more in two heats just as Mike has been doing it is the way to go in my opinion..

While were at it, another thing I would vote for is in the LLM division.. I really like the idea of doing time trials each night in addition to the 30 lap features.. And allot points again based on # of cars taking time.. (If 10 cars in attendance top qualifier gets 10 pts, 2nd fastest 9 pts. etc on down..).. Would give the track a great chance to feature the LLM cars right at the beginning of the night plus its a good plug for those drivers sponsors and such.. And not that the LLM cars are the only ones deserving of a lil extra sponsor plug. But you get my point..Again I know not realistic for this season, but perhaps next year???LOL

Like a wise man ( Garry Reynolds) once told me, "People dont want to see the same show week after week, year after year. Gotta think outside the box and change it up a little".....Thats why I think adding a LLM time trial to the current show would be a great idea..
