I know 9 cars registered at barrie so far, but I also heard the Inglis car was one of them and latest rumours are that he has headed south....I think, based on talking to people, 10-11 cars is a very good count night 1....
will find out much more tonight....
you're predictions are probably correct - I'd say about 10 LM at Barrie this year.
Kyle and Dwayne are both going to Sunset - as is Mike Brown..
Rob Inglis has decided to go race varney this year...
So if barrie has 9 or ten registered lates and i think i heard that they were only going to run two features and no heats , what happens if they have a major wreck that takes 4 or 5 of them out in the first feature, do they still run the second feature with 4 - 5 cars. And Blackflagagain, where can i pick up my 20 bucks.
Wow, what a difference time makes. I thought it was time for a long time fan's perspective. I've said previously I've been to Barrie and Sunset since 1970 or so. The last 5 or more years I have been loyal to Barrie despite having a very good friend win time and time again at Sunset; Barrie had better racing and it was closer to home. But last year things started downhill at Barrie with car counts in all divisions and that was before Sunset built Bristol north. Add to that the predictions for car counts, especially for the Late Models which most fans go for, and I also expect the fans to slowly leave with the cars. Right or wrong, good or bad, unless everything everyone is reporting is wrong, this is gonna be one tough year at Burls Creek and an automotive orgy just south of Innisfil ;Sunset here we come.
I think that you will see a small influx of cars return to barrie slowly over the season, as those drivers wont be able to either compete at the other track, or will find reasons to leave on their own. just like Barrie a few short years ago when it was revamped, everyone is excited for something new. And that new challenge has everyone starting from a clean slate, on equal ground for the most part...
it will either be a huge success right from the start or a wreckfest as people learn the new lines at the new track. which is why certain drivers at Barrie hung it up right at the time of the reconfiguration...
As for me I go where ever my car come off the trailer, I have plenty of friends at both tracks and plan on seeing all of them this season. I just know that I will be at the track to the south for most of the season..
The RRR crew will be very Hard to beat a Barrie this year as Gordie seems to have his game face on already this year!! I just hope the Delaware guys can give him the respect he gives to most other drivers out there!!
Cheers
