The 16 Value were and are allowed to come to the Barrie Invitationals so I dont understand that concept. The only place that I know that does not allow 16 Value at invitationals is Varney
Plus how many cars are 16 Value from Sunset that want to drive at Barrie for a full year other then maybe a handful.......So I am just stating that why should Barrie change the rules for a handful of drivers that wnat to come up and plus it would not be fair for the drivers that did leave previously to this upcoming year that did chang there motor to a 12 Value.....
Here's a concept, get rid of 16 valve Honda's period. And no offence to the guy's who run them.
16v,both single cam and dual cam, heck even 12v, are the next step in the evolution of the 4 cylinder class. But they definitely need to be in their own class, not mixed in with the 8v cars.
Trying to give the 8v cars a weight break to compete does not work as most of the mustangs CANNOT safely be put on a diet.Better to split the class, keep the 8v as your starter/charger/four fun class, allow the multi valve cars some suspension mods, wider tires, etc. You could even allow 8v cars some engine mods if they wanted to move up,maybe some cam lift, etc. The biggest limitation is that the tracks do not want the headache of trying to tech such a class,as it is easier for them to have everyone running 350 chevs with the same tires/rims/trannies.
At the end of the day,the cars are called race cars because they are supposed to go fast and race.Trying to slow down the fast cars because the slow ones cant keep up, is like trying to have an intelligent conversation with Rossevans30,it cant be done for long 😮

Fine, then I will build a Neon instead.
The three local dirt tracks I race have all agreed. No 16 valve engines and no DOHC. Still leaves a whole lot of cars to use for a mini. Everyone said it would just be Mustangs only, but it isn't the case. What percentage of Sunset's Roadrunners were Hondas?
I think eventually all tracks will have to allow 16 valve Dohc cars because car counts will drop due to lack of cars but for now most tracks have a healthy car count in the MiniStock ranks.
