What was with the Banquet? Track lose too much money this year because of the weather or what? Overheard a comment while sitting about the trophy's being handed out, only top 5 got them what about the rest of us, used to be top 15 got trophy's, another comment was that his 2nd place trophy from last year is bigger than his 1st place trophy this year, nothing handed out from contingency sponsors as in years past, not alot of happy campers ther i must admit

First IntoTheWall regarding your banquet (Barrie) yes it is to bad the top 15 didnot all get trophies but when a business looses money especially in the racing business when weather tells you whether you are plus or minus in business.Unfortunally this year i would bet alot of tracks if not all were either even or lost money this year.Sometimes some things have to be done if it means cutting the trophies to top 5 so be it .As for contingency awards maybe you should contact the track and ask why or even better when you have your drivers meetings before the year starts ask management then.If you think Barrie was bad for this I have heard other tracks have cut back on banquets by making it smaller or not even having one.Hate to say Businesses are there to make money and owning a track is a business.Hope next year is better for all concerned from Drivers,car owners to even the tracks.Remember economy and weather will tell you whether you win or lose.
I was disappointed there were no bodies or carbs, I mean the deal is they got their butts kicked...but what got me was that lil 10 things they learned....it was all jokes but kinda insulting to all of us...I really did not like hearing those...
To think that I ran those Nascar stickers all year and replaced them every time they got scratched or damaged ? Can any one tell me what the hell I did that for ? NEVER AGAIN !!!
