just got an idea.. figuring that 12v, and 16v is only to improve air and fuel delivery, why dont they allow 8v to port and polish, that will fix the 8v power problem.
To make that work you'd have to recast the heads LOL
Opposing valve almost hemi style heads (honda) vs wedge style side by side valves (ford). Not going to work..
still it wouldnt hurt the 8 valve cars at all, lol. and if barrie does go 16v they will need all the help they can get.

Ross let me tell you someting i did happen to see a ford head so ported and polished you could stick half your hand into the intake side of the head the car did go like stink but the bottom end has to match what was done to the top and charger can vouch for it that car when hooked up could easily pull away from the rest of the field by at least a full track

Which will leave you with ZERO bottom end to come off 4 😉
Either way you are fighing an uphill battle, wedge style head agaist opposing valves.. Hey might be able to make a flathead work too with enough $$$. Beside you are going to dump so much porting and polishing, it would make far more sence to buy a new honda off the lot 😉

yeah i can vouch for that if its the same car i am thinking about but there has been some very fast mustangs in the past that would get eatin alive out there now. that being said there are still some very fast mustangs out there BUT they are most likely pushing the very limits of the rules as they are writen, i d like to see things evened out so every one is as competitive as they poss can be within the rules.
even if that means i have to take a hit in weight or something else to slow me down or speed slower cars up
