Well I agree that it was really fun listening to the PRINCE /HERBIE saga last year Scott and the interest it created, and it no doubt made for more interesting racing down that way as well, as quite a few Barrie cars were in attendance. But that is exactly my point the Barrie guys seem willing to travel to invites where alot of Sunset guys dont seem to reciprictate..
Tell you what I can do for you, get the boss to run a thunder car special, and I will schedule by thunder cars off for the night.
Barrie will not do it for me, but that is ok....

Yes indeed we do have a point fund at Sunset. Here is how it works.
Total dollars earned equals points ( $100.00= 100 points) the only difference is we pay you the money each and every week, instead of saving it until the year end.
The reason for this is, you can run well and be top in the points, blow a motor and your gone, and have lost all of the money you have earned in points. That can't happen when we pay you every week.
Also the track champion etc. will be chosen by the point standings.

If Barrie was to have a thunder special, would it not have to be on a non-nascar points night???? (liike a sunday or whatever).

The mini stock class is running for the same money as it did 5 yrs ago . Making the nightly purse bigger for the other classes still does not equal a point fund . I did notice there is one 50 lapper for mini stocks which would make it $ 500 to win according to the listed pay out schedule but the other race is listed as a 40 lapper which there is no pay out schedule available for .
Glad to hear steve penny will be assisting tech! All the thunder guys should really appreciate a former driver who knows where to cheat be there to keep the field honest! I know i couldn't be happier 😉
