How come we hardly ever hear about Varney on this site?? I was there on the Saturday of Labour day weekend, and then again last night and I could not believe the crowds!
I've been coming to local short track races in this area ever since I've been in Canada, and I havn't seen numbers like those since the late 90's.
The stands were jam packed and there were probably 150 people standing, and the concession stand line up was right up to the ticket booth all night.
Last night was probably the best night of racing I have been to since last yrs autumn colours. Clean up was a little slow at times, and the intermission was too long, but other than that it was great. I don't know what they are doing differently there, but it sure is working!
Iam pretty sure there fall classic is this week end!!!one thing i really like at Varney is they pay CASH at the end of the specials.It sure would nice if all tracks did that!!!!!! 😮 😮 😮
I'm torn now between Sunset and Varney for next weekend!
go to sunset sat, and varney on sunday,makes for a great fall week end!!
We may go down for the LCQ sunday....
