Okay,

Here are the details as I have been told.
In previous years, the Sunday of the long weekend in May has been an Invitational night at Varney. This year is not the case. Sunday is a regular points night.

That said, many 4 cylinders and Super Streets from Sauble, Flamboro and Sunset have expressed interest in running at Varney this sunday and have had several questions regarding whether or not they can run and, whether or not they will have to register.

Here are the answers to your questions.

If you are not a Varney regular, you WILL NOT need to register or pay the nightly registration fee. Visiting cars will be given one free pass on a regular race night this season without paying the registration fee. You may use this free pass on Sunday if you wish. Other nights that are actual "Invitational Nights" will also have no registration-fee as per standard Invitational procedures.

Drivers and crew will be required to pay admission at the Pit Gate but, once again, no registration fee for the car.

Please bring extra weight. If your car does not comply, you will be assessd a weight penalty.

Regular Varney drivers will be awarded points based on their finishing order after the 'visiting' or 'non-registerd' cars are removed from the equation. However, everyone is running for the purse. First place car gets first place money and so forth.

We look forward to working with the visiting drivers and their crew and hope that you have a great race night at Varney Motor Speedway.

One other thing....if you do not have a transponder, there will be a $20.00 deposit to rent one. The deposit will be returned to you when you return the transponder.

That sounds pretty fair.

Now can you just get rid of this darn rain? Please?
