If you think that's bad, today Barrie said that there 4cyls can bolt on any part that their manufacturer ever made. Anyone want some tips on how to turn a 240 into a Skyline?

Thats opening up a whole can of worms...why would they want to do that??
Exact thought went through my head.
And why?
Persuasion from certain individuals? Lack of knowledge on 4 cylinders by the people making the decision. I could easily build a $10,000 mini with an open ended rule like that. I wont, because I'm not an idiot, and don't have $10,000. But someone will.
that is how it goes year after year...i dont kno how many times i heard john casale at the drivers meeting ask why do you guys want to spend more money??
always a few idiots in the division that want to go faster, spend more money...then do the thing that would help everyone....move up a class...when we started minis at flamboro you could win features and championships spending less than $2000....and almost any nite a guy could win...then when we had 40 plus cars some were worth $5000...and the different winners started to get fewer...but now some cars are worth 10 and 15 grand and we get near 20 cars...and now those 2 would win most of the races except for bailey and the rabbit who are the exception...
As far as I have heard after the lack of cars last year means the mods will not be there this season. It would take real commitment from everyone for the track to go out on that limb again.
It is a real shame that the track that people travel to just to see the mods race can,t get the support that they showed to the class.
As far as the rules go what oscaar has right now work very well. All that they need is to clear up some of the wording. (some of it is a bit confusing). If you were talking about a weekly class you want a durable tire like the 980. You might allow a little better weight break for automatics small things like that. It would still be a cheaper car to build or run than a thunder car. This is provided that oscaar can keep control and not have get as carried away as bad as thunders or ltd lates.
All tracks have the same problem that the cost of putting on the show has reached the point the fans can,t afford to go. This isn,t the first time this sort correction has happend. Car counts and crowds will drop off until we have start over again. It happend before and it will this time. Actually it has allready has started.
For all the new management groups (not just varney) thank you for sticking your neck in the noose and risking your money just for the chance to hear how wrong you are. not everybody feels that way. Hang in there please.
