Stefco was 650 to win. AC is 600.
The first is a "sponsored" series and the latter is a well established event with a proven history of car turnouts. This is only our third year. Sure, the first place money is 300 but, sixth is still a hundred bucks.
Sorry you won't be able to make it. I guess the 300 is still up for grabs since 'you' won't be making the show.

You're usually not one to bash on us here on CRO.
All this track tries to do is make for a good night of racing for fans and drivers, treating both with respect. We don't step on any of the other "high profile" track's toes. In fact, it is Varney that gets the short straw up against everybody else so Thayne, your sarcastic comments about our Thunder purse don't hold a lot of weight when you probably wouldn't have even come in the first place.
I got no beef with you but, comments like that don't do anything for short track racing in this province.
I dont really bash anyone on here...and I take nothing away from the tack..ask anyone who I have talked to about the place....I love it, expecially the chicken fingers....and I ran there alll the time in my mini stock.....now my brother does all the time in it...
I just commented that the payout was weak for the thunders...my class....500 to win would have been much better, I just want to see my class recognized more is all...these are 15-20 thousand dollar cars running for the same as the 5000 dollar street stocks.....but whatever.....sorry for the bash....
I was actually planning on running until last Saturdays wreck fest. And it's been two years since i ran there...
Since the car count in thunders this season at Varney has been very sparse,I am not surprised at the payout.
The mini purse is basically doubled from a regular nite,and 10th on back pays what 3rd place is on a regular nite.
Also notice it says "based on a 12 car field" , dont be surprised if more thunders than that show up that Ken would UP the payouts.
Anyway it is what it is, we will be there with our 2 mini`s and barring any major damage will have my 240 at Sunset on Sunday.

Methinks that this is the major problem with thunder cars today! But that is a topic that has been discussed in many other threads.
