“Qualifying didn't go to plan. We had a similar problem to yesterday - we had very good front, probably not enough rear and at a circuit like this you need a good, balanced car to flow it through turn one and around the back. So we struggled in qualifying and ended up ninth, which was a little disappointing. The car had more in it, I probably just over-drove it a little bit. Come the race, I had a ripper start, stayed out of trouble. The guys called the strategy correct and we managed to stay in clean air for most of that race, which is exactly what we wanted. The car was much better than yesterday, it flowed better and looked after its tyres better. Then with that late safety car, we had a good battle on our hands. Our car was probably a little better than Scott Pye's and maybe even Jamie (Whincup) in front of us, but we ran out of laps. Overall, to finish fifth was a great way to finish the weekend compared to where we started, so we're not too disappointed. Obviously we've got to look at qualifying going forward. Perth is another round where we've had great success, so I'm really looking forward to coming out of this weekend with good points and seeing where we end up over in WA for the next round.”
