"Today started really well. We massaged the car overnight and it felt really nice in qualifying, we got the best out of it. Ludo (Lacroix, Race Engineer) made another one of his magical calls in saving a brand new set of tyres for the race. We opted not to do our third run, which proved to be a huge benefit for the race. We were lucky to stay on the front row beside Jamie (Whincup) and of course got a ripper start. I think being on the race line definitely helped us get that launch that we needed and from there the race panned out exactly the way we needed. We had good balance in the car and it's very rare that you have a car that responds as well as it did, so credit to the team. With that brand new set of tyres, we split them and put them down the left-hand side for the second and third stints and of course that paid dividends. With Jamie obviously under pressure, that allowed us to get a gap and we managed it to the end. We go away from this weekend with some great results and I'm looking forward to Sydney Motorsport Park."
