World Middleweight Boxing Champion, Tasmanian, Daniel Geale has backed V8 Supercars, throwing his personal support behind the state's largest sporting event, the Tasmania Microsoft Office 365, April 5-7.
As one of the country's best boxers, Geale will be taking his family to the event next week, joining fans who have flocked for tickets, as V8 Supercars looks to a third successive massive crowd following the huge numbers at the Clipsal 500 and the Rolex Australian Grand Prix.
Sales are at a premium with tickets still remaining. One of the largest crowds in recent times is expected.
"The Tasmania Microsoft Office 365 is a huge event for Tasmania and this year's event will be bigger than ever. It will be a great example why Tasmania should have the event on the calendar forever," said Geale.
"I absolutely recommend to all Tasmanians to get out and show their support for this fantastic event and witness the best motor racing that this country has to offer first hand."
With new manufacturers joining the sport for the first time in 20 years, along with new drivers and the exciting new super sprint format, Geale said the hype surrounding the event was unprecedented.
"The first round in Adelaide had it all, it was amazing racing and then at the Grand Prix in Melbourne the V8 Supercars also proved a massive hit, so I know Tasmanian's cannot wait to join in," said Geale.
The Tasmanian local, who is also an Ambassador of the Holden Racing Team, said it was thrilling to be a part of such a high speed, adrenalin pumping sport.
"I love being a part of the V8 Supercars event, it's a real buzz, seeing these great drivers in action and also the masses that flock to this event every year certainly makes me a proud Tasmanian," he said.
Fans will experience plenty of off track activities with the Disney Pixar Fun Zone featuring Mack the Truck for the first time in Tasmania, which is certain to be a big hit among children.
Geale said: "this is just another way that everyone no matter their age can enjoy the V8 Supercars in Tasmania. There is literally something for everyone; it has a real family feel which I think is important, being a family man myself."
