Looking at the Sunset web page today.......they have increased the admission for the last two "special races". For Sept. 12th, its $23 and for Sept. 26th, it's $30 for the grandstands. Can't imagine what it will cost to get in the pits.................think maybe I will visit another track on those dates......that's just crazy!!
If they are going to charge more thats fine but they need to guarantee a good car count. I have been to too many invitationals that have not lived up to the hype simply because not enough cars show up. I have said this before, as a race fan I cannot miss it because I might miss something good but on many occassions the races just haven't been that good. If the weather allows for racing today at Sunset, I hope they prove me wrong with good numbers but my guess is the count will be light; we will let you know
I think you missed my point.........they are jacking up the "special event" admission....above and beyond their regular "special event" admission! It was posted on their web page in the last couple days. I think if you post a "special event" admission at the beginning of the year......you stick with it....as these race dates were on the bill at that point............bad business practice to jack the price a couple weeks before the event

I think for the series that are going to be there the prices are fair..Vintage Mods Stefco and LM race I cant imagine them not researching who would come and numbers to attain success afterall this is the first race for lm and they would want it to be a great event jmo
