note to self: tell Mom she was right.....again!
you make me laugh...and yes we like to be heard too! lol
My dad runs a successful shop, it is 2 generations, soon to be three and we are overflowing with business all times of the year...ppl from toronto, New Market all come and get their work done at our place (30 mins north of barrie)....a lil lower price and a willingness to talk to customers goes a long way...oh and getting it right the first time never hurts....
My biggest problem with sunset is that wes will pretent do listen, tell you he will do something and than nothing happens. My wife is the scorer and has known wes for a long time. I told her she could stay scoring at sunset but I wouldnt be back because all i get is lies and that is with me having a connection to the track i can imagine how other drivers are treated. At least when you go to tracks like flamboro with Cassale he will give it to you straight up whether you like it or not. I may not agree with him but I appreciate that whether I agree or not the answer I get will be what happens.
Very true, you can not make everyone happy. On the flip side, misery loves company, also true. When a 'vocal' personality is upset, they tend to tell others about it, and they tell 2 friends, and so on, and so on (remember the hair colour commercial?) ;). So, wouldn't it be in the tracks best interest to deal with these folks you refer to as 'whiners'? Give them a little of your time to hear the complaint, understand the complaint, and maybe even offer a little empathy? If you've taken the time to value the opinion (not necessarily act on it), doesn't it diffuse the whole situation a bit? In my experience, people want to feel that they are valued.
You know what, you have a point. And reading you last post, Earnhard I'm starting to get it.
See my first problem was that I've included some of you in the group that like to complain, as I have described. The reason being, that you don't have a whole lot to complain about. For example in your explanation of your issue with the track you didn't name a specific event. The track did (this) to me, so I'm not going back. There really isn't one reason.
So what it seems is that you feel neglected by the track, that they won't listen to you, even if its for the smallest thing. Well I have to agree thats a valid point. And should be adressed.
But also. might you not want to cut the track some slack for possible making the same mistake that I did? They have responed to certain people dirrectly, and not in a "shove it" way and were attacked. It kinda puts you on a defensive, so when approched by someone like yourself, they are already in a bad mood. Its like talking to someone who's had a bad day, possibly a bad year in this case.
Maybe, and this is above and beyond, if you talked dirrectly with the track, and they understood where you were coming from, you may get a different attidute to what you think they have.
When it comes to Wes Good you could talk talk talk yourself to death but you would only waste your breath.
Truth is Earnhardt everything you say is true its true.
