Standings Question

This is probably a stupid question but I will ask anyways cuz I am curious.

If 2 racers are tied for first place is the next guy inline in 2nd place or 3rd. I noticed on the results on the website that the tied racers use up positions #1 and #2 and the next up shows as 3rd place.

I would say it should be listed as two 1st places and then 3rd...reason being beacuse as soon as they break the tie....somebody will be 2nd.  And the Driver that was 3rd will still end up 3rd.

Absolutely, the driver would be in third place because two drivers are ahead of him.

In a tie situation for first you take the points fund money for 1st and 2nd add them together and divide by 2 and they share the trophy and the money that makes the next driver in line 3rd technically.
