I just got back from watching a little practice at the speedway[sunset that is] and couldn't help but notice that inside the main gate entrance to the track by the score tower and concesions is all freshly paved and what looks like a freshly paved area for handicaped parking just outside the main ticket area too. Also it looks like they are doing a lot of work in the spectators area of corner 3-4. Looks like new fencing going up and completely renewed and cleared of all and any obstacles obstucting the view of the track from that area. Man is it starting to look good. A ton of cars out for practice too. Several canadian vintage mods , oscaar super late , thunder cars from other tracks and lots of 4 cyls from other tracks. Didn't recognize all but did notice several barrie guys such as the 35 of nick french and the 2 of melonhorse.

I heard they want to make the track bigger. I would say the stands need a bit of work but I think that is something that has already been addressed.

Why is the far stands in turn 3 blocked off?

Main stands are being repaired as we speak, the turn 3 stands were blocked off due to repairs and last week was supposed to be Fox's Buns Master and friends down there.

Just wait and see what is in the works, new things arrive weekly and every week should be something changed, repaired, or replaced.

I was just out at the track to visit with Steve Sr. and the place looks outstanding the pits are impeccable not a scrap of garbage anywhere. The staging area on the back chute is freshly paved and in front of the box office and through the concession area is paved. Turn 3/4 spectator area all manicured great for a sponsor entertainment area to entertain their customers and employees. There are more changes coming and the future for Sunset Speedway looks very bright and my hats off to Mark, Steve, Linda and the ownership group as the track is well on it's way to being the nicest facility in Ontario.
