We would like to sat a  "BIG THANK YOU, to" all those people who are taking time out of their busy schedule to help make "GIANT"  improvements this week to the track and its surroundings. We know that there are a lot more in the plans.  Thank-you to Mark Linda Steve and Marks Company for fulfilling the DREAM that the Shakells had when they built the track.  I feel that you will go a long way, just by the way your staff treat the people who come there with a smile and the old friendly hand shake.

One thing I didn't understand was I was at the front gate and I had a yellow wrist band which gave me access to the pits and other places. I was at the front gate around 3 o'clock and I seen them let some guy in with a orange wrist band and I asked if I could get in that gate instead of walking all the way around to the pits bathroom or back to the front gate bathroom and I was told I could not go through as it's not 5 o'clock.

What are the different color wrist bands at Sunset and what do they mean?

Staff was orange.

All the tracks do that Evan, the drivers (and licensed crew members in the case of Barrie you have to have a drivers permit or a crew permit to go on the race surface) usually have a different colour, staff have another colour and people that sign at the back gate just as spectators have another colour. It's just a way to control access at different gates.

Well-Well, just want to update you on the progress of freshening up the New Sunset International  Speedway.  A lot of hard work has gone into it since the last regular race night, with the exception of last Saturdays Rain Out.  Things are really taking shape for a much better and newer look for next year. Do not be surprised at what is going down for 2010 season.  A Big Thank you to all those workers, I wish I had money enough, I'd take you out to market Place Buffet in Barrie for lunch in appreciation. Thanks Again see you all Saturday night.
