Does anyone know what the main differences are between the various TC/SuperSt divisions?

I mean really, how far apart are we all? Is it minor differences or are they glaring?

(non tech guy here...so I really don't know. Just trying to ascertain how hard it can be to bring it all together.)

with the leaf springs cars, the differences would be delaware allows headers, aftermarket upper A's and standard transmissions....and with the metric cars it would be all of the above plus the 3 link in the back. some tracks have went to the 602 crate, some haven't, those are the main differences i can think of, probably missing a few things.

Hence my suggestion for Invitationals only. To bring all the tracks different rules in line at this point would be difficult unless a new class was started from scratch. Different rules have evolved to suit different tracks to make the show there as good as it can be without hopefully pricing people out (different topic I know). Also I think some of the weight penalties at some tracks for invitationals, from what I have read, are designed to give home track cars an advantage more then to even the competition. (different topic again I know. Not trying to start a fight 😉 ) If, and a big if, 5 or 6 tracks would commit to having one invitational a year I think my suggestion might have a chance. I for one would love to see Barrie or Sunset or Mosport cars race a Delaware to see how they perform. Watching them go head to head with their own track cars on a different track and then to see how all the different track cars stack up against each other at the same time would make for some interesting racing IMHO.

the showdown for the super stocks every year is an invitational, a few flamboro cars have shown up, thunders can race it if they want, but not to many show.

If I recall, we didn't have the showdown this past year.
